1. Scope and who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how SociGaps, operated by Qort Inc. ("SociGaps", "we", "us" or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, stores and protects personal data when you use socigaps.com, the SociGaps web application at app.socigaps.com, and related services.
Qort Inc. is located at E 42, Sector 72, Phase VIII, Industrial Area, Mohali, Punjab 160071, India. Questions about privacy may be sent to sm@qort.com.
2. Information we collect
Account and workspace information
We may collect your name, business email address, password hash, organization name, workspace role, account preferences, country, language, time zone, plan and subscription information.
Brand and business information
When you configure a Brand Brain or website scan, we may process information you provide or authorize us to retrieve, such as website URL, brand name, industry, business model, product or service information, public social profile links, target markets, audience, brand voice, logos, colors, marketing goals and related configuration.
Meta and connected-account information
If you connect a Facebook Page or Instagram professional account through Meta authorization, we may receive identifiers, account/profile information, Page information, granted permissions, access tokens and other data made available through Meta APIs for the features you authorize. Depending on the permissions approved for the app and your account, this can include first-party media metadata and insights for accounts you manage.
Competitor and market intelligence data
SociGaps may process permitted public or API-accessible information about eligible professional business accounts and their public media, such as usernames, captions, media types, timestamps, public engagement metrics and public profile information. Availability depends on the connected platform, permissions, account type and platform rules.
Campaign and AI information
We process the campaign briefs, prompts, drafts, edits, approvals, generated text, creative instructions and related content you create in SociGaps. When you use AI features, relevant brand and opportunity context may be sent to an AI service provider to generate the requested output.
Usage, device and security information
We may collect log data, IP address, browser/device information, login events, security events, integration status, scan jobs, audit events, error logs, and usage records needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the service.
Support and communications
If you contact us, we process the information contained in the request and our correspondence with you.
3. How we collect information
- Directly from you when you create or configure an account.
- From a website or URL you ask SociGaps to scan.
- From connected third-party platforms after you authorize access.
- From public or permitted platform sources used for competitor intelligence.
- Automatically from your use of the website and application.
4. Why we use information
We process information to provide and secure the service, authenticate users, build Brand Brains, connect authorized accounts, run competitor and market analysis, detect gaps, create campaigns, schedule approved activity, generate reports, measure performance, manage subscriptions, provide support, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations and improve product reliability.
5. Meta Platform Data
We process Meta Platform Data only for purposes permitted by Meta's terms and the permissions granted by the user. We do not sell Meta Platform Data. We do not ask users to provide Facebook or Instagram passwords. Access tokens are treated as confidential credentials and are used only to provide authorized functionality.
We may use service providers to host or process data where necessary to provide SociGaps, subject to contractual, security and platform requirements. We do not use Meta Platform Data to train our own general-purpose AI model.
6. AI-assisted features
AI features are used to help summarize evidence, generate original campaign concepts, captions, scripts and related material. AI output may be incomplete or inaccurate and must be reviewed by the user before publication. SociGaps is designed to identify patterns and create original material rather than copy a competitor's protected creative work.
7. How we share information
We may share limited information with infrastructure, security, email, payment, analytics, AI and other service providers only as reasonably necessary to operate SociGaps; with connected platforms when the user initiates an authorized action; with professional advisers where necessary; or where disclosure is required by law, court order or lawful process. We may also disclose information in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition or sale of business assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell personal data or Meta Platform Data for money. We do not provide connected-account credentials to advertisers.
8. International processing
SociGaps is operated from India and may use service providers located in other countries. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to use appropriate contractual, technical and organizational safeguards required by applicable law.
9. Data retention
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security and audit records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by data type. Access tokens are removed or invalidated when an integration is disconnected or when they are no longer needed, subject to technical and legal requirements.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the service, including encrypted transport, password hashing, access controls, encrypted storage of sensitive integration credentials, audit logging and security monitoring. No online service can guarantee absolute security. See our Security page for more information.
11. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, updating, completion, deletion or erasure of personal data; withdraw consent where consent is the basis of processing; object or restrict certain processing; or raise a grievance. We may verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
For deletion instructions, see SociGaps Data Deletion. Privacy requests may be sent to sm@qort.com.
12. Disconnecting Meta
You can revoke SociGaps access from your Meta account settings or request disconnection through SociGaps support. Disconnecting an integration stops future API access but does not by itself necessarily delete the SociGaps account or data that must be retained for legal, security or billing purposes. To request deletion, follow the instructions on our Data Deletion page.
13. Children
SociGaps is a business service and is not intended for children. Users must be at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority in their jurisdiction and have authority to act for the organization they represent.
14. Cookies
We use essential cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management and security. Additional analytics or preference technologies, if enabled, are described in our Cookie Policy.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy when our service, integrations or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page indicates the latest revision. Material changes may also be communicated through the application or by email where appropriate.
